The story revolves around the two twins named Ruby and Garnet, aged 10. Ruby's a noisy, enthusiastic and ambitious girl, while Garnet's quiet, intelligent and thoughtful. Both of their personalities are very different but they're very close to each other. They live with their father as their mum passed away when they were young. Their father has a hobby of collecting books, so his house full of books purchased from the stock book. If there is no money, the books will be sold. Garnet and Ruby applied for a scholarship at Marnock Heights Boarding school for girls. But only one of them got to go to Marnock Heights. Garnet got accepted, and Ruby thought that she had made a mistake, and thought the headmaster of Marnock Heights got the twins mixed up. The story goes on narrating the twins finding an article about auditions for a TV movie. Garnet and Ruby decided run away to London to audition. Ruby wants the pair to go to boarding school [the one that the film is shot at], but only Garnet qualifies. Garnet's decision to go off to school without her sister allows the pair to reaffirm their love and connection.
